Mezzo-soprano Lucy Baker has been described as “spellbinding, seductive, and mesmerizing” by The Broad Street Review and has been praised for her “comedy chops” by Splash Magazines.
As a second year member of the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center, Baker performed on the iconic stages of Chicago, most recently at Lyric Opera of Chicago as Peasant Girl while covering Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro. In her first season at Lyric, she sang the role of Karolka in Jenufa and covered the role of Tisbe in La Cenerentola.
